Willuwalk collects your data, including data that directly or indirectly identifies you. Here is what personal data we collect and why:
Additionally, we collect and process your location data when using our service. We track your device’s location from the moment you start walking by pressing the “Start” button until you finish the walk by swiping the “Finish” button. To measure the distance walked, we need to store the tracked location data. If you wish to stop device location tracking, you will not be able to use the service. To prioritize the display of closest users in the profile swipe function Willuwalk mobile app registers user’s location upon opening the application.
In order to provide the option to chat with other users, we also need to collect the content of conversations. We do not use the content of conversations for any purpose other than facilitating communication between registered users. The content of conversations is not disclosed to third parties unless required by applicable law.
We use your mobile phone ID number to send you notifications regarding activities related to the mobile app (e.g., sending invitations, chat messages, marking meeting points, etc.). To expedite error detection and correction, we also collect information about your phone model and operating system.
Willuwalk asks you to register your account and log into the application using your accounts created with third-party services such as Facebook, Apple, and Google (hereinafter referred to as “third-party accounts”). By logging into the service through a third-party account, we collect data to which you have previously granted access (your name, email address, profile picture, Facebook profile URL). These data are collected by the third-party service provider, and the data is shared with Willuwalk according to their privacy policy. You can control the data shared by these sources by using the privacy settings in your third-party account.
Payment information and Premium account
Most of the content in Willuwalk is free of charge, but some features availability is limited or only made available after payment has been made. Payment is made through Google or Apple’s services. In the event of a purchase, the following information is processed: what was purchased, the method of payment, the time of the purchase and the price. In conjunction with a payment, we transfer payment data to the selected payment service provider who is, in turn, the data controller for the processing of your personal data. The purpose of the processing is to be able to complete the desired purchase.

How long do we retain your personal data?
We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to achieve the purposes described above or as required by law. Generally, this means that we retain your personal data until your account is deleted.
If we lack a continuing legal basis and purpose to process your personal data, we will delete the data.
Account and data deletion:
You can delete your account at any time. To delete your account, click the “Delete Account” button in the mobile application. After deleting your account, your personal data will be permanently erased from our systems.
